We all have visualized how we desire our lives to be, and when we genuinely want something, we write it down on paper or save it somewhere in our brains and call it a goal. But more often than not, we forget or neglect the most crucial part of our goals: taking real action to achieve it.
Whether it’s personal, career, fitness, diet, or financial goals, it’s time you put your uncertain thoughts aside and just go for it! Stop waiting for the “right” time or until you feel you’re ready, you will never be 100% ready! It is time you start showing up for yourself and these 7 Simple, but very POWERFUL methods will encourage you to make your goal/s a reality –
KEEP YOUR GOAL WRITTEN SOMEWHERE YOU CAN SEE IT:
Perhaps you want to lose some weight, lower your sugar intake, or launch a money-making blog, whatever your goals are, write it down. Write down in as much detail as possible what goal or vision you have, when you want to achieve it and why you want to achieve it. And then stick it to your bedroom wall or pin to a board, just make sure you can see it every single day. Being frequently reminded of your goals, will either make you feel like a boss or overwhelm you. It depends on whether or not you’re doing more than just writing it down.
CREATE A VISION BOARD:
If you’re more of a visual person, creating a vision board might be a more preferred option for you. You can customize and style it according to your taste. Using a vision board with pictures and motivational quotes will help you to see the bigger picture and encourage you to initiate further action, reduce fear and anxiety, give you a confidence boost and you can also take off pictures and replace it with new ones when you’ve completed your goals! Not to mention that vision boards can add some extra pizzazz to your space and you can get really creative with it!
TACKLE YOUR TO-DO LIST:
So you’ve written everything down, created an aesthetically pleasing vision board, what’s next? Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty of accomplishing your goals. A to-do list will contain the tasks you need to complete to move closer to the finish line. Once you have your list, you need to set priorities and decide which tasks should be done first and concentrated on the most.
To-do lists will help with efficient time-management and give a feeling of accomplishment and being organized. To ensure you do not feel overwhelmed and anxious by the amount of work you need to do to complete your goals, take the larger tasks, and break it into smaller tasks/steps.

TAKE IT ONE STEP AT A TIME –
We live in a very fast-paced world and are constantly reminded of the hustlers around us through social media. This might cause you to think you should move more rapidly and take bigger jumps to catch up with everyone. In moments like this, and there will be lots of them, I want you to remind yourself that everyone’s journey is different and you are exactly where you need to be at this present moment.
Two of my favourite quotes are, “We tend to forget that baby steps still move us forward.” and “Your direction matters more than your speed.“. It’s a beautiful thing that your path is unique and you need to embrace it! Taking one step at a time at accomplishing your goals, will guarantee you a solid and lifelong end result.
KEEP THE BALL ROLLING –
When you have your to-do list and action plan all set up, it is easier for you to start moving forward and to keep moving forward, which will result in you starting to build up momentum over time. Momentum helps you to show up for your goals, even when you’re low on energy or time because it will just become more effortless for you to continue moving forward on your own.

CELEBRATE THE SMALL VICTORIES & BUILD YOUR CONFIDENCE –
Every time you complete a small piece of the bigger picture, give yourself a pat on the back and allow the feeling of being proud of yourself. Celebrating in-between completed goals will encourage you to keep moving forward and continue building momentum, and remind you of how far you’ve come. There’s no going back now. Even if you’ve just woken up and made your bed, celebrate it! We tend to focus on just the final destination but often forget that it takes the smaller things along the way to complete the big picture.
PRACTICE GRATITUDE –
In my opinion, this is the most significant step in achieving your goals. No matter where you’re at in your life or goals, taking time to notice and reflect on the things you’re grateful for, will fill your heart and soul like no other. And it will show up in other areas of your life too. Practicing gratitude will evoke positive emotions, improve your self-esteem, improve mental health, and actually open the door to more opportunities. When you’re faced with difficult times in your goal journey (and overall life), push yourself to find gratitude in these challenges. There is always something to be thankful for.
The journey and steps you need to take to reach your goals and make it a reality, does not necessarily have to be rocket science or super complex. Remember, nothing valuable in life comes easy and if you want something to last, you have to put in the hard work.
You might see completing your goals as this ginormous mountain in front of you, but the only genuinely hard part is actually taking that first step. So I guess the only question then left to ask is, how much do you want it? How hard are you willing to work for it? Once you’ve made your decision, the rest will be much easier. Practicing these seven simple but powerful tips to reach your goals, will change your life.
